• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Aftermarket threaded collar rear shock adjustment

Hey all F3 owners,
I will soon be upgrading my rear shock, and to this point, I'm leaning toward one that offers a remote hydraulic preload adjuster. Looking under the Spyder F3S rear fender, it would appear that the threaded lock rings would be a PIA to access. Being a 100% solo rider, I'd likely only be making adjustments a few times a year for when I add my (3) pieces luggage/gear/mounts. All are about 80# combined. To those of you F3 owners with a aftermarket rear shock, how is the access to the adjustment rings? Adding the remote preload adjuster adds anywhere from $200-250. to the shock cost, but it also adds a cool look. Thanks for input.

I just watched a M2 shock video. The aftermarket spring looks quite a bit shorter, and it would "appear" that the lock rings would be a bit easier to access. I'll need to call Marcus Monday. I know he can't do a shock with hydraulic preload.

If you cn wait a few weeks, a durch company is developing front/ rear shocks for F3, and it will come with a hydraulic preload adjuster, I will test these thorougly, and come back to you with the answer, price and so on
