There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Aftermarket Exhaust Performance

I have heard that the aftermarket exhaust help fuel economy while also adding hp. Is this true? And how much does it help exactly? Is it a vast improvement or miniscule?

The addition of a Hindle exhaust to my 09 RS SE5 helped with perceived performance ( no dyno data just seat of the pants feel) and did increase gas milage slightly. The cost of the exhaust will be covered by the gas savings in about 27 years and then the real savings will begin!

Kidding aside after market exhausts are lighter, sound great, look good and keep folks employed who support this forum.

I don't have any dyno facts (and I'm not sure anyone else does either). I would not get overly excited about the performance or mileage improvements with a change in the exhaust. My feeling is many would be dissapointed with actual dyno numbers.

That being said I think it is a great upgrade. The bike sounds much better, you lose some weight, looks are improved and you will get some additional HP if you do it right. This usually means installing a Juice Box or other fuel management system.

Fuel mileage probably does improve as well, but the urge to ride harder with a good sounding exhaust and a little more power may negate that advantage! :ohyea:

Well the cosmetics are the main reason for me getting them haha. The sound and looks is what I'm really after. Ther performance stuff is just a big plus. I'm really not too concerned with mpg I was just kinda curious as to the gains. I didn't expect they'd be a whole lot but you never know haha. Thank yall.

Oh I do plan on getting the juicebox with the two brothers as well.

I just installed the Spyder1Attitude on my RS last Sat. It sounds great. I only have about 100 miles on it since then so I can't talk about mileage. It does seem to have some good additional jump but it could be my imagination so I will have to do some more riding to really tell. Oh...did I mention it sounds great!!!:doorag:

I just had the Two Bros put on my RT at Cowtown. Love the sound. Doubtful of any significant performance gain, but in my mind it is better! I was really after the sound and much improved look of my RT. At least what I want it to look like.

Is there an aftermarket exhaust for the RT 2011 Limited

I have the Two Brothers exhaust on we put it on just before our trip to San Fran the bike had 6500km before we left and now the bike reads 12680km. When we started out I was getting about 220km on a tank of fuel by the end of the trip we were making 300 to 320km per tank, I think the bike is now broke in but the exhaust may have helped a bit, I love the sound and the fact that it is way smaller than stock and lighter. Great exhaust.

I put on a HMF after market exhaust on my:spyder2: and it does sound better but as far as gas mileage goes, the stock exhaust gives me better gas mileage.
Now for a better sounding exhaust,:yikes: I drilled out the pop rivets on the end where the exhaust comes in and I have taken out the insulation . Put in new pop rivets and
it is a better sounding exhaust than it was before I worked on it. A lot louder and I like the sound.
As far as gas mileage goes I haven't been on a trip yet to see what mileage I will get.
I saved the insulation just in case it is too loud on the road
