• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After the recall . . . revisited

Yeah, I'm the one that bragged in a previous post that after my recall was done, I noticed NO difference in the Spyder's performance. I believe I said I had the "perfect Spyder". Well, after a 120 mile ride today, or more correctly, towards the end of that ride, the Spyder began to run rough, popping through the exhaust, and where it normally runs 4 bars it wouldn't come off of five at 55 mph with no traffic. I'm running the Two Brothers exhaust, and the backfiring continued even with steady driving, not only when reducing the throttle.

Just wondering if they did change the ECU mapping, and if this could be the cause.

It does take some time for the computer to make adjustments to engine control components, fuel/air, ignition curve, etc. Of course adjustments are supposed to make things better.

Just guessing here. But the time component and the learning curve of the computer sensor input process might have something to do with this.

No juice box, Ron. Just the exhaust. Spyder ran PERFECTLY for the past 2000 miles before the recall.

Would we need to run the bike (idle) for 15 minutes after the 'upgrade' to allow for calibration again? Especially with aftermarket pipes, this might be necessary.

I have the JB and I'm considering just turning it off before they do the upgrade...don't want to rock the boat as the bike runs great right now...

I wouldn't even have the JB on the bike when you go in for the update---- just sounds like a bad idea. Anything goes wrong and they'll start pointing fingers.
