• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After Purchase Purchases

Was trying on helmets today at the Harley Deakership, foolish me thought they might have ones that did not say Harley on it.

First impression was that they are very claustrophobic, will take getting use to as well

One way to deal with that is a modular helmet. Flip it up when stopped, but get the full benefit when moving. Most modulars give more chin room as well. Go to your local Cycle Gear, or dealer, and try them out.

I will assume that we are talking about the purchase of an F3.

Based on that, I would not leave the dealership without the two up shock on the rear and the belt vibration dampener. Those two will lead to the start of a beautiful relationship!
:dg1::dg2::riding::congrats:

Joe

Nope RT Limited, are shocks and tensioner only F3 issues or across the board

Claustrophobia can be overcome.

:agree: It'll come down to the level of protection that you want, versus the amount of "openness" that you want...
You'll try on a whole bunch of helmets before you find the right one. (It's kind of like picking a Spouse!)
The most important aspect of ANY helmet: make sure that it fits properly... nojoke
If you're not sure: ask someone to give you some help!

Must Have

Air Wings you must have Air Wings. Ok so maybe you don't HAVE to have them but once you ride with Air Wings you will never ride without them again! Check us out online www.bakerbuiltairwings.com Good Luck with your new spyder and all the extras you add on.

Some of the best arguments can come while making up the lists for the:
Gottahaves
Oughtahaves
and...
Wannahaves

So remember to protect yourself in the clinches, and watch out for that left hook!

Helmet

Very personal choice and the most important thing is that it fits! Go to Cycle Gear and try on all types. Makes sure that it fits. Any helmet that is Snell certified will provide the best protection for you and the wife. When at Cycle Gear just don't buy one of their "barley" BILT brand helmets. This is not an area where you want to save money, you want to saves lives! BTW my ARAI helmet was priced the same at the dealer as it is at Cycle Gear! Good luck and :welcome:

Bump Skid

Hey, Im sooo new I have no clue as to what a Bump skid is.
I know Spyder Pops and Lamonster Garage both carry these. It is a 3/8" thick piece of slick hard plastic. It bolts to the underside of the front of the Spyder and acts as a bumper and a skid plate. Worth every penny in my opinion.
