• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After Market Exhaust

HMF Carbon-----

Hindle is nice--- but at least twice the price of the HMF --- My Hindle eventually fell apart. Heat shields will vibrate and pop the rivets-- ditto for the rivets holding the ends on.

:agree:

I think my Hindle is good for one more set of rivets on the heat shields, and then I will be switching it out. The rattle of the heat shields is very annoying. Granted, not all of them have this problem but mine sure does.

You can send SethO a PM about the negative aspects of Two Bros. exhaust, along with Leo Vince and maybe a few others. He has burned through several different cans so far.

Firefly and SpyderWolf: PM me your address, still have some screews from TJFischer to replace the head shield rivets. ;)

My shop put in different rivets that seem to be doing better...a little bigger and stronger, I presume?

Done that twice already, and don't know how many more times it can be done. Eventually you will not be able to go any bigger, and I am not sure I would like the Hindle as much without the heat shields. ;)

I will wait for the screws Doc offered and see if that will do the trick this time.

Please get me the specs on those screws when you get them...might as well get some now for when I need them later...

Work in process using…

Hey, those look familiar! ;)

I may put them up for sale in a week or so.

Sorry about that but I just decided to exit motorsports and get back into sports cars. Got my eye(s) on a Porsche Carrera from a friend of a friend.

Yes, I did, Scotty. I decided to forego motorsports, finally. I have more metal in my left leg and pelvis that most motorcycles have (a slight exaggeration but not by much). There are many more breaks than that but no metal.

Now that I'm retired (at 29 :D ), I just can't see risking the Life of Riley... it's wonderful. Besides, I've never learned to ride normally. Everywhere we go (in the country), it's full out.

Time to hang 'em up. No regrets... except for the aches and pains of all of the broken bones of the past.

You're a better man than I (Gunga Din). I gave up the dragsters when I couldn't pass a flight physical anymore, but I wouldn't have gone willingly. They can either bury me with the motorcycles...or because of them. It matters not to me. :D Hurting is what I seem to do best these days. :roflblack:

I used 10-32 x 1/2" long pan head stainless screws, lock nuts and red lock tight on my Hindle shield. The next time it needs to come of it may take a torch.

I finally got sick of the dental floss and replacing rivets.

Perhaps we should all get together at Spyderfest and check out the different ways people have dealt with the heat shield issue. Could be a very educational time.

After I had said I don't have any problem with my heat shield on my Hindle, I noticed a rattle yesterday. Sure enough, the rear rivet is broke. It looks like it actually needs to be welded on the way it came off.
