• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After Market Exhaust

I am a new member and hope to do this correctly. What after market exhaust works the best that is not too loud? Does an after market exhaust void the warranty? Also, what is done at the 600 mile service? Can it be done by the owner and not void the warranty? We have not picked up the new SE5-S, which is in TN. We live in FL. Cheers, Ken

There are many aftermarket exhausts on the market. I'm using a Two Brothers Racing and don't find it too loud. The 600 mile checkup I left to the dealer. The following ones I'll do myself.

Loud pipes save lives

I had a 08 Spyder with a Juice Box and a Two Brothers single pipe. I did use the longer tip for the outlet and I thought it was a very nice sound. Does not upset the neiborhood to much. I have a 2010 RT now that is bone stock. Like to hear the radio.

:welcome: :congrats: I cannot help you as I have an RT with stock exhaust just wanted to welcome you :D

:welcome::congrats::spyder2: ON.

Most get the dealer to do the first service and then if you are handy at all you can do the rest with a few exceptions ( Valve clearance ,hook up to B.U.D.S )

Two Brothers single pipe for the RT and Hindle for RS. For Hindle, install the pipe at the Ca-Am dealer (1/2 hour labor) in order to keep the 2 years warranty, otherwise is 30 days. ;)

The TBR was WAAAAAAY too noisy for me - the Hindle looks stock, and has a nice tone, w/o killing your (or your neighbor's) ears...

Two bros with p1x tip is probably quietest
Muffler for spyder. It's not sewing machine sound like stock pipe but not too loud to trigger most car alarms. Even hindle triggers quite a few and Leo Vince a little more and two bros without the tip will trigger a lot more, I mean a lot

I got standard aluminum version for 309 including the tip from ebay.

Any aftermarket muffler, including hindle can be used against you should warranty issues arise.

I am loving my Two Brothers pipes, LOUD PIPES, AND LOUD CLOTHES, might help save your life, but, lets not forget good riding habits, and always pray before you crank up these sweet Spyders, that God will guide your ride.

Are you sure of that aka1004? I recently put on the TBR single can, liked the tone but found it too loud for me (I felt similar about the HMF). I put on the p1x and don't really notice much difference... might be able to tell the difference if i had a dB meter, but by naked ear it don't really seem to do much.

Loud pipes do NOT save lives...they just make you deaf...

Loud clothes and lights all over the place will help more...

I like the muzzy.

With the p1x tip in place, spyder was bit too quiet for my taste but tenants in my apt. complex was happy and so were the people in next complex...
They had complain about my two bros. P1x made dramatic difference in sound suppresion. p1? Not so much. I had on hindle, Leo Vince, and two bros and two bros with p1x was most quietest and it didn't seems to restrict the flow that much but after riding without the tip for couple of month, anything would sound quiet. :D

Don't think that will work with the side bags??

Yea I was thinking, they bothered to make extension pipe to equal the length of exhaust pipes, meaning each muffler connected to each cylinder at vertical junction. Why not one muffler on each side?

I think it's a unique and really cool look...however, if you have the BRP side bags (or any Givi comparable), I don't think that will work.

Don't forget that many others have two side pipes...perhaps they were just going for look over primary function?

HMF Carbon-----

Hindle is nice--- but at least twice the price of the HMF --- My Hindle eventually fell apart. Heat shields will vibrate and pop the rivets-- ditto for the rivets holding the ends on.
