• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for places to see in Northern New England on your way home from Homecoming in June go to one of these sites for info: RIDE Maine magazine Ride New Hampshire magazine Ride Vermont magazine Right now they are still showing the 2016 issue. You can still get traveling info from it. The only thing that will change is dates. I hope you enjoy your ride through the area.

I'm taking a very short ride to Stowe, VT. to show my buddy some old haunts and roads to ride.
I was a bit of a ski bum in the '60's.

Then heading south, taking a ferry to 9N and down to Lake George for Americade for the next few days. Americade is always a good time. The action on Canada Street late in the week has grown quite a bit the last few years.

Then all back roads to Virginia.

Head West young woman..Head WEST

After Homecoming...loading up and hauling for home. Granddaughter's graduation is 6/9 and party at my place :yes: 2800 miles..:yikes:.Let's see need to roll into driveway by noon on 6/8....yep I can do it...might have to "cave in" and jump on a freeway or two. Sure glad I enjoy ryding and don't mind long days in the saddle..no stopping for Lobster tho. Roger b knows the BEST places for lobster!!!

When you take a short ride in Stowe,Vt be sure take Route 108 (Smugglers notch). Very nice, and lot of turns. Deanna

Deanna, I know Rt.108 very well. The trouble is Navy9, aka Gator, will be following me. If he gets distracted will he "find" that VW size rock in the middle of the Notch?

I was disappointed to learn that the Shed was sold. I first started eating there in 1967. That was when it was nothing more than a shed, littered with incoherent ski bums with beer dipped burger juice dripping down their longjohns. That was at lunch, it got a bit wild at night. Trying to remember New Years Eve in Stowe was difficult even the next day.

A much better ride is nearby ....Rt 17 the western side was re-paved in Sept. 2016 and I would put that at the TOP of my list of rides - above the Rattler, Snake , & Dragon ........... because it can be done at fairly high speed :clap::clap: ..... Mike

Blue Knight, Rt. 17 is on the agenda for Monday morning, I'll be going east to west this time. I'm glad to hear that the west side has been paved. The tar snakes on that road have been bouncing my front end out from under me for years. That was on various bikes. This will be a first on the Spyder. I wonder if I could talk Gator into crawling a ways into the "bear cave" above the parking lot.

BTW I was VP of NJBKIX around 28 years ago and a founding member of another one many years before that. Pretty much right after Bangor started the whole thing. Many miles ago.
