• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Aerocharged Silver Dream...

Aerocharge and McCruise :2thumbs:: Joe (spoiledbiker.com) tap a vacuum reservoir (30 cc) after the check valve, between the Aerocharge air box and the supply side. McCruise is working again!

On the way to Chicago I lost the air filter off the Turbo....trying to catch up with Dave and Forest...:opps:
Called Aerocharger and they promptly overnight a new one and Evan and Jody did their "magic" to make-it stick:

What advantage would a "bike" cruise control have over a "car" cruise control? I can't think of any, but I certainly can think of quite a few advantages of a "car" cruise control - electric, cheap, proven....
welcome
I have no experience :dontknow: with http://www.phoenixtuning.com/zenstore/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_44_45&products_id=272&zenid=bklivhe9dgncs4ttoao33cnjt6 "No vacuum needed for easy installation" is listed in the product description: the previously installed McCruise is working now, see http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showpost.php?p=219825&postcount=100

One advantage is that the bike cruise is made to withstand exposure to the elements, cheap car cruises aren't.

During heavy-heavy rain, steering 10 degrees right, do I need an air filter cover ("umbrella") to keep the Aerocharger away from the water jet coming from the right wheel?:popcorn::dontknow:

Another rain related issue: the Boost gauge looks dry, but the Air/Fuel is looking like this:

Changing the internal display and the cover (provided) didn't make any difference:

I would probably rig a rain guard. A curved piece of metal, open at both sides would probably do it. You couls also rig a bell-shaped cover, so the air intake was from the rear. On the other hand, you can crank up the boost with water injection. :joke: As to the gauges, many, if not most, are only water resistant at best. Once you get it dried out, you'll have to get out the tube of silicone. I doubt your style of riding, through anything and everything, was what they had in mind when they designed this thing. :roflblack: I know you'll get it figured out.

Doc, next time you get a chance pull the cap off your gauge and dry off the lens. Then get some black silicone and put a nice coat on the threads before you put it all back together, that should seal it up.

Thank you!

Thats my main concern as it rains here alot.

I caught some showers today and my air/fuel did the same thing Doc. I opened it up and dried it out. I noticed my cover was not on very tight. We shall see.

Can you get an outerwears filter cover for it? They are a water resistant cover for motorcycle air filters. I don't know what application would fit, maybe they have dimensions you can match up to. I have one on my shopvac that could be ziptied over the whole thing.

After 4K miles of "testing", here are the best values for my Aerocharger EFI controller; {Note: I kept the Evoluzione fuel pressure modifier on my Spyder, allowing the Aerocharge Turbo to be set in "dangerous" (lean) areas of fuel mixtures vs. boost}:

Cruise: 4-5 (Green)
Acceleration: 3 (Yellow)
Full Throttle: 4-5 (Red-Red)
Boost Max Fuel: 1-8 (Green-Blue)
Acceleration Lower Switch Point: 3-8 (Yellow-Blue)
Boost Min Fuel: 3-4 (Red-Blue)

10K miles

After returning from Quebec the Aerocharged Turbo reached 10K miles. Still running like the first day after installation and prove to be reliable also for the long/ non-stop rydes.
Next month the "tests" are harder : Saltflats Bonneville (Sept. 15-18), Lamonster BBQ Sept. 23 and Spyders in the Smokies Rally in Gatlinburg (Sept. 22-25). :D

I am looking forward to seeing this beast in person in Gatlinburg.
