• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Aerocharged Silver Dream...

…just way faster with proper tuning (still waiting for the Barnett clutch). After my return from Portugal: we'll see what the Aerocharger dyno-test and street combination performance proves.:doorag:

:dontknow:
I would think you would have to change the gearing to break the magic 130.
But it will be heck of a ride all the way to the 130:yikes:

That is what I figured, but I just wanted to make sure. I remember having to change the sprockets on my GSX-R in order to increase the top end speed, but I cannot remember which way I had to do with it. Would this be a matter of changing to a different size sprocket for the belt drive, or is it the actual gearing of the transmission?

I hope you have a safe trip to Portugal and back Doc.

Lurking on this thread with interest......
May be the next purchase for me.
With regard to gearing just change the front sprocket to a larger size, I believe Mels make a couple of different sizes.;)

We discussed this some time ago--- and when I was going 128 I was NOT redlining--- the wind resistance was the problem-- the engine just couldn't overcome it---- but maybe with the turbo it can....

He'll be able to get up to speed quicker for sure!

Ok Doc. I will mount the camera on the bike and follow you for some video. Will be back the same time as you. And i thought I was done with mods. AHHHH, the sound of turbos spooling up in the morning:2thumbs::2thumbs:

I'll be riding it home from Aerocharger on Friday. I'll post what I think. :2thumbs:

So you actually had Aerocharger install yours for you? Definitely let us know how the entire process went, and the results of your ryde home as well. Stay safe, as I am sure it will be something you haven't experienced before.

Barnett clutch arrived + new Michelin Pilot Z  rear tire.

Yay Docdoru. Good luck on the install.

I am riding up on Wednesday. Aerocharger is in KC and I am 4 hours south. I figure why not have them do it and do it right.

To go faster at red line he will have to change the gearing. Easiest way to do that is go bigger counter shaft sprocket. I don't see it as much of an advantage with the stock setup as the engine already has trouble getting to red line in 5th.

But with the Turbo, taller gearing should be no problem.

I'm wondering if the Turob might even give him an advantage in the twisties! Love to test that theory!

Should be interesting....

:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn: pics pls.

OK correct me if I am wrong but----The stock drive gear is a 40 tooth gear, (Or I think it is),, so having said that would he need a LARGER gear with more teeth or a smaller one with less teeth?? I think I understand the concept just not really clear to me... Yah I'm sure you can tell I'm a bit confussed on the whole Revolutions to Ratio concept.. Just asking is all..

PS: After a bit of research I think I'm WAY off on the number of teeth on the original front sprocket...
