• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Advice Please - Want to get back to riding.

"I am 68 now and know I only have a few years of riding left in me..."
I'm sure you know yourself better than I do, but HEY, don't sell yourself short! I am only just beginning to feel that maybe I should write the same statement, but I'd have to change the "68" to "almost 83".
And I have NO plans to quit in the foreseeable future... So don't sell yourself short! :doorag:

As far as I’m concerned, if I were you, I’d take a serious look at the one that UtahPete is selling. It’s a 2014, and I don’t think that a 2014 should be ruled out. I’m 79 and still ride my ‘14 RTS. Good luck in your search.

:agree: Big Bad Brucie is right! Utah Pete's (exactly like mine and Blue Knight's) would be perfect for you. And, at a fair price. You'd have plenty of power and comfort as well.

Hi Saluda. I ended up purchasing a F3-T in black. Used 2016 with 4100 miles. I had a budget in mind and this bike came in the day I went to look at a F3 LTD. The dealer worked the numbers and came in on my budget including taxes and all the other stuff. There were no RT's in MN and cost was a bit prohibitive. I am paying the dealer extra to go over it and get an oil change. Turns out it has been sitting 8 months since the last change. I pick her up this Thursday. For the first time in 5 years I am feeling alive. Thank you for your reply!

For the first time in 5 years I am feeling alive. I am so looking forward to being in the wind again. In a stroke of luck I ended up with a 2016 F3-T with 4100 miles in all black. Not quite like my old RT, but I am still very excited. Your statement has given me a huge lift to my spirits. Thank you.

I am sure Utah Pete's RT is in wonderful shape, but it's in Utah. It sounds strange, but I need to "feel" the bike. The minute I sat on my old RT I knew I wanted it and I had sat on others. I ended up with a 2016 F3-T. 4100 miles. I am so looking forward to picking it up this Thursday!

HEY LORI, F3-S or F3-T From Caswell ? I'm guessing we will see you on the next ride :congrats:

I have both a 2016 RT Ltd and a 2018 F3 Ltd ... they are different rides to be sure. Sit a bit higher on the RT, sort of sit "ON" it. The F3 has a lower seating position, more like sitting "IN" it. I like both rides .. more comfortable on the RT but that's purely because I have more miles on that style of Spyder (had a 2012 RT for several years). I think you will find the F3 is a sweet machine and you will enjoy it.

My condolences on your loss. Welcome back to "the wind" .... All the Best ... Ann
