• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Two places to be sure to eat in the area:

1. Singleton's Seafood restaurant on the water just a few yards from the (south) Mayport Ferry Dock on the JAX side.
Famous for very large servings of super fresh seafood.

2. O'steen's Seafood in St. Augustine, 205 Anastasia Blvd just across the Bridge of the Lions. Serves about the best Fried Shrimp anywhere and has been doing it a very long time. http://www.osteensrestaurant.com/

He knows of what he speaks. In addition, if you get over to the Palatka area (a hoop and a hollar to the west of St. Augustine), go by a restaurant called "Corky Bells". You won't regret it.
Perhaps you can make the ride scheduled by several of us a ways south of St. Augustine. If you'll look at some of the most recent threads it will be on here.

It's a great place to visit

My daughter and son-in-law live in St. Augustine and have ridden their bikes north to your area several times. They also know all the places to see and visit while you are in the area. Just PM or email me and can give you contact information if you are interested.

Rt. 17

Dan'l, if you're not rydyng the major hi-ways, ie; Rt. 95, to St. Augustine, you may want to consider rydying Rt. 17... from Locust, NC head toward the coast, and take a right onto 17... it's a gr8 ryde with lots n lots to see... 1 point of interest; going over the New Brunswick River Bridge in GA, make sure it's NOT a windy day, it's soooo high, you can see God's shoes from up there... once in St. Augustine, watch out for the low flying F-14 TOMCATS that go in and out of the Northrop-Grumman facilities....

ryde safely and enjoy....

St. Augustine ride

St. Augustine is one of my favorite places to travel to. I think it is a must see city for anyone. Lots of stuff to see and do and very easy to get around in. You'll love it!

Scenic Ride

Get someone to direct you to County Road 13 and ride it from one end to the other then go back the same way I think you would enjoy it. Very busy with bikes on weekends. I used to live in St A and always enjoyed it. ;)

If you take Rt. 17 there's a place just south of Brunswick, GA, in Woodbine called Capt Stan's Smokehouse. Try to go at night. Fire pit, live music and lots of bbq and local color. The place is a must see. It'll be on the right just after the bridge coming into town. Don't blink or you'll miss the entire town!

In St. Augustine look for The Columbia. I haven't been to that one but the one in Tampa is just the best. If you like original Spanish and Cuban food you'll love The Columbia. Start with the 1905 salad but save some room. The entrees will blow you away.
