Advice on Blue Ridge Parkway road condtions?

Earlier in the year there was talk of part of the blue ridge parkway being shut down is that fixed and if not what part is it and what city it near or general area going to riding that way starting around the 10th of Oct. Thanks

I did the full Blue Ridge Parkway and there is a detour the road has lots of potholes on the way down to Cherokee from Front Royal

Go online for BRP info and check specifically around the Roanoke area. They had a pretty nasty wash out around a year or so ago and the road may still be closed.

Think positive and make it an adventure. Get thyself to Front Royal, VA to Skyline Drive and the Shenandoah National Park once south of the park contact the BRP and find out where there are washouts and detours and what the work arounds are. There are plenty of backroads that can be lots of fun.

Second response to my Google search for Blue Ridge Parkway gave this site : https://www.nps.gov/blri/index.htm that gives road alerts and closures.
