• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Adrian Cronauer

sad news....

:pray:'s to family and friends and know many a young soldier of the era will remember him well...

R.I.P. to an American Hero!:pray:

"Hero's" were the soldiers in the field who covered their wounded buddies. Or the helo pilots who entered fire zones to pick up the wounded or trapped. Or the corpsmen who, unarmed and under fire, attended to soldiers wounded in battle. Or just the ordinary 19 or 20 year old soldier who was sent to that hell hole by politicians who didn't have a clue and ended up fighting for his life.

Not a radio DJ who "fought" from the relative safety of Saigon.

I'm not taking anything away from Cronhauer but let's please remember the proper definition of "hero".

[FONT=&quot]"I always was a bit of an iconoclast, as Robin (Williams) was in the film," Cronauer told the AP in 1999. "But I was not anti-military, or anti-establishment. I was anti-stupidity. And you certainly do run into a lot of stupidity in the military."
