• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Adjusting stage 5's

I bought a set of stage 5's in the early part of this year. I now have them installed but haven't done any adjustment or fine tuning. Is there a step by step procedure in adjusting them? Any help from a stage 5 owner would be gladly appreciated.

Good question. I've done one adjustment since installing mine. Normally riding one up. I recently made a change with the bike raised slight off the ground loosening or lowering the front shocks to a length of 9 1/2" from top of spring to bottom of spring. Then placed back on garage floor and measuring the clearance in the front of my RT at 6 1/2" off the ground with no ryder and only a few essential in the frunk. I'm only 160 lbs. The previous owner of the shock had to be much heavier than me. Will ryde today to test the change. Oh I got the instruction sheet and will post for other to use.

Thanks guys. I bought mine directly from Elka. Even paid extra for the upgraded red springs. I never got an adjustment manual.

Stock shocks, 5 settings, no big deal. These shocks have an infinite amount of settings. A little over whelming at best.
