• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Adjusting RPM's on a 2012 RTS SE5

Yes

Between 4-5000rpm is good, as you risk burning out your clutch if your change earlier, or go too slow in a high gear. These things love to rev ;)

Shift at 5K or above. With the SE the idea is to keep the clutch pack locked. A fall back(because of upshift) RPM @ or above 3750 will accomplish this. That said, you will find that in order to get good throttle response from your spyder. It needs to be at or above 5200 RPM in gears above first.

If you have time. I really recommend you read this link, and book mark it for future reference.

I have the SE5

Not to worry..!!

you can't adjust your rpm's....your dealer needs help..!! Your engine is a high rpm unit and as such is happy running at between 1300/1400 rpm's while in neutral. Shifting should be around 4000 + I run even higher. If you have the se model your clutch will not be fully engaged under 3500 rpm's. If it's a 2014 it will vary...

The idle speed is right on but I do agree its a tad too high. I also have a SE5 and the neutral to ingear and neutral to reverse shift is really harsh! If the idle was a tad lower I feel it would help that but there is most likely other reasons for the higher idle like oil pressure and coolant ciculation or voltage output.:dontknow:
