• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Adjusting Headlights

So I am not sure what happened but it appears my headlights moved up on my 2013 RT. All the way home tonight I was getting brighted by passing cars. When I turned my brights on it lit up the tops of the trees. This was not like this before.

Just spent the weekend riding on semi rough roads (Bump skid got a bit of a work out not to bad or major) hills and twisties. Is there a Video or instructions on how to adjust the lights or any other suggestions that might relate to this topic would be really helpful.

Thanks.

Yes

Right in the owners manual! Short answer, pull the side panels and find the adjusters, one for each side. Turn to move up and down. Frequently, when you are suddenly high, your shock needs air. Check that, first. Headlights rarely move , but shocks fail more often. Raise seat, find Schroeder valve, check pressure. The chart is right there, and in the manual. I'm guessing you need air. Add air, measure rear fender to ground. Wait a while, measure again. If it does not leak, your problem is solved! Joe

If this has 'just happened' after a weekends ride, then I doubt it's the headlight adjustment that's the issue!! Leave their aiming alone until you check & confirm that the air bag on the rear Suspension System is still holding air at the right pressure!! if it's low or has leaked/got a puncture, the back end of your Spyder will be low & the lights aiming point will be high!!

If the air bag & suspension system/ride levelling is fine, then you can adjust the headlights by turning the gold/brass looking screws under the side panels just below the mirrors - there is a section on doing this in the Handbook, & there are also a couple of good vids floating around too, IIRC both Finless & Lamonster have done one. But I'd be looking at that air bag first, it sure sounds like that's your problem!!

Would like to thank those who responded.

Went nt out and checked the pressure and it was zero. I aired it up to 40psi and the watched the pressure drop. I guess this would tell me it is an airbag issue?

I contacted my dealer and they said could be both the pump and airbag. Here is hoping that this will be covered by my Zurich warranty.

Yup, confirmed air bag issue!

If your warranty is any good, it should cover that. But if it doesn't, don't spend money on getting the same old same old compressor, get one of the more robust VIAIR replacements - fits almost exactly in the same spot, cheaper, & waaay less likely to experience the same failure down track some time! There are a few threads here to explain it all & even a couple of links to vids. Good Luck

I put the aftermarket pump in with a small pinhole leak from a sharp rock rubbing the bag (a typical problem) and 7k miles away the cheaper pump is still working. It cost me $75 at AirHorns.com
