• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Adding Dealer List to Zumo 660

For those who have the Zumo 660 and want to add the dealer list provided by Firefly, the list is in *.gpi format. POI Loader requires *.gpx format.

I did a net search and found a free converter

http://www.gps-data-team.com/convert.php

When you convert, save the file with a gpx extension. Otherwise it won't be recognized

Hope this is of some use

Correct--- if you want to use the POI loader you have to have the GPX format--- which both Ken and I can send over if anyone needs it.

I went with the .gpi format because it doesn't require using the POI loader software--- you can just drag and drop it into your Garmin:

To install :

1. Plug Garmin into computer via USB
2. Find Folder(on Garmin unit) "Garmin\POI"
3. Drag and drop "Spyder Dealers 07-29-09.gpi" file into that folder.

If you look in the "Garmin" folder and don't see a "POI" folder, you can just create one and then drag the GPI file into that folder.

All the POI loader does is convert the GPX file to a GPI and install it for you. If using the free GPI converter should work--- but you're essentially converting from a GPI to a GPX and then back to a GPI again.
