• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Adding an amplifier on 2012 Spyder RT-S

I'm mounting a sub and amp in he righthand saddlebag. I have my bike taken apart and will be running the amp off of high level inputs. Does anyone know the colors of the speaker wires coming out of the factory radio to tap into that go to the speakers both front and back?

Don't know. ..!!

But would suggest you get a shop manual online for like 20 bucks and then you will have the whole wiring diagram. On these machines once you get the power and ground wires straight it gets wild. Purple and black will not be the same as black and purple :hun: then there is power before ignition and power after ignition...etc..

I found a site to download a shop manual. Thanks for the suggestion. Not sure why I didn't think of that.

FYI... for anyone else that is wiring up an amp via high level inputs the speaker wire coloring on the 2012 RT-S is the following:

Front Left - Pink/Black
Front Left - Pink

Front Right - Brown/Light Green
Front Right - Light Green

Rear Right - Violet/Black
Rear Right - Violet

Rear Left - Green/Black
Rear Left - Green

The shop manual doesn't differentiate between positive and negative but I would assume the first of each is positive. I'll post more details once I get into it.
