• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Nice Additions! I'll be getting a RT #3 sometime this year, prefer to get one where you're installing. What's your schedule for the rest of the year?

Doc,
I ordered my damper for my new bike about a week and a half ago. Will it have been equipped with the grease fitting? :dontknow:
(I haven't called my Dealer; to have him look in the box at it! :D)

We will be at Spyderquest in September and Maggie Valley in October and then if we have stock left we may head to Borne, Tx the latter part of October.

Yes, all of them come with the grease fitting and the full kits come with the pivot seal.

We will be adding the brackets for sale in a few days. That way, if someone has a RT and goes to a F3 they can buy the correct bracket and use the rest of the kit on the new byke. We'll also offer the long bracket if they go from a F3 to RT......

Very nice...

Great page and very complete. Like the fact you can get soare parts without having to buy a whole new one...:firstplace:

Thanks! We have built them to last a very long time and being able to replace components as they wear or situations change, etc. just made perfect sense.

And BTW, the replacement springs WILL also work on the BRP units.[/Q

maybe tell people not to get carried away with the grease gun or it will somehow find its
way onto the belt.[a little dab'll do ya].

added ?. if you have your unit off should you use something to lube the bearings, or are
they sealed ? thanks for all your help !!!--irv toms

I purchased one of these a few months back... do I need to install a grease fitting? Was there an issue that caused this upgrade?

No, the upgrade was done so that the joint would not need to be taken apart to do annual maintenance. A shot of grease and you are good to go. I will say this about drilling your own; there is a very narrow area between the edge of the arm and where the spring rides. We use a precision mill to get the correct position and angle. Drilling freehand or even with a vice COULD cause the drill bit to walk, ruining the arm. Not saying it can't be done, but for $25 we drill it, tap it, add the grease fitting, and if we screw it up you get a new arm. We will also put the inner seal on the pivot that will keep the good stuff in and the bad stuff out. We pay the postage back to you.

still wondering about bearing lube while my unit is off.spring should be here by noon.
might try some viscotene anyway.--irv
