• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Added a Shiftlight to the digital cluster.

I was not happy with the rev-counter on my 2020 F3-S with the monochrome cluster, the F3 runs 2 times into the limiter while overtaking some trucks
so I mounted the shiftlight-pro from HealTech, it gets its signal from the CPS-wire, is connected via bluetooth with my mobile and I have several ways to calibrate the shiftlight.
here the test-ride: https://youtu.be/1vNv7bpXuOM
for me a "nice to have" - gadget ;)

I learned how to ride Mtc's long before all the do-dad's mucked things up ...... " Shift Light " :yikes: .... we don need no stinking shift lights :roflblack::roflblack:...... JMHO .... ride safe -ride happy ..... Mike

Only place the shift light might be a favorable tool is at the drag strip. Plus I don't see many Spyders at the drag strip.:banghead::banghead::banghead:

I like it. I had a sport bike with a shift light on it. Like many things over the years I said I have no use for that, but I missed it when the bike sold.

Most of the riders on here don't know that the 1330 redline is 8100rpm and never go any where close to that.
With the PV3 you can increase that to 8400rpm and the Monster tunes to 8600-9200
You got it, use it.

Using / relying on a shift light at the Drag Strip :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: ..... If someone is doing this ... they have no business at a drag strip. ...... JMHO .... Mike

thats the point ;) it seems we here in Germany are rYding faster, even on the Autobahn with no speedlimit. Just entering the Autobahn you have to accelerate like on a dragstrip, but more than 400meters :D and btw: my topspeed on the highway is 120mph, only, I have my wheelchair on the side :)

I like the light although I'd mount it a bit higher in my line-of-sight. But these days my riding isn't close to the rev limit.

The throttle-by-wire Spyder controls the rev limit event much better than my Moto Guzzis, etc which cut fuel or ignition. On my track Mustang, I added a shift light set to 200rpm below the rev limit because when the limiter cut fuel the car would pitch down a bit and then when the engine caught again pitch up a bit. Rather distracting in Turns 1 and 2 at 125mph on the Fontana Roval circuit. Sigh -- the good old days.

My 2nd generation Vmax had a shift light. I loved the looks of the thing (brought me back to my old mustang days), but I never used it. But it sure did look cool.

Here is a wonderful nice lass that almost beats a Hayabusa ...

If you watch further into the video a Grom beats an HD. :roflblack:

I learned a long, long time ago to shift by feel. And the best place to shift is where you can bearly the shift. If you have to depend on a light to tell you when to shift,,,,,,,,,,,,,,well good luck.

it´s just a nice-to-have for me. The monochrome cluster of my 2020F3-S has the counter very small on the right side at the bottom, so out of view. Together with the mounted PedalBox your are going very fast near to the limiter in the first 3 gears.
similar to BertRemington´s Mustang I set the "highest" warning (red flashing) by 7500rpm, so 600rpm before the limiter
