• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Actual displacement

Now I'm going to have to do some digging... I would have sworn that they took one of OUR engines, de-uned it for more torque at lower repms, and shoehorned it in the Outtie...
So is this new engine a 992 series?:dontknow:

Seeing it's smaller, Maybe it should be called an 899 series??

Okay... It's only a 91mm bore, but the stroke is a full 75mm.
Now if that crank would only fit in a 991 or 992... instant 1109cc! :2thumbs: So who's gonna try it first???

I'll stick with 990. If it's 1000 the Gov't insurance want significantly more money. I'd like to keep their greedy mitts out of my pockets as much as possible!!

There are advantages to being under 1000cc. Some insurance rates break at 1000cc and my maintenance contract was less because it was under 1000cc so don't change the designation to 1000 instead of 998. There are NO advantages to calling it 1000cc.
