• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

activities other than spydering;

Now that riding season will soon be here, I get in about 100 miles a day on :ani29:.

Spend some daily time on :spyder2:lovers.

Practicing my guitar.

Lesson prep for my two classes.

Well, I do like to fish, but that has taken a backseat to the Spyder riding !!:yikes:

I also enjoy fishing and anticipate warmer weather and breaking out the old fly rod. And during the summer months, I try to find time to do a bit of kayaking. And target shooting. And scouting for wild game. And beginning in Sept. as much time in the forests as I can. And riding my Spyder. And maintain the homestead. And in the midst of all that, WORK continues to get in the way. Though I do work only 4 days per week. Seems the older I get the busier I get!:dontknow:

We stay pretty busy. In the winter we Sled, X-C Ski, Snowshoe, & train our dogs. In the summer we hike, kayak, & compete our dogs. Along with some other less done things.

Well other than riding the Spyder, the things My wife and I do are Travel, lots of Travel some times when people call to order
Accs. from me I may be sitting in a beach chair in Fla. or ???? and not at the shop but they don't know it.
Riding my Motorcycles is my main fun I have a few my wife is not happy with, but I don't complain about the zillion pair of shoes
she has or the lack of closet space I have because she has them filled with her stuff. so Travel and motorcycles or a combo of the 2.
Ride Safe
AND everyone JOIN THE AMA you will not be sorry you did.
Dave

I thought I'd start this thread with a bit of a ego trip for myself. www.50plusseniornewspa.com

Hmmmm.......I'm retired and I like river fishing, blues guitar ( but can't play), metal detecting,
and travelling the world.....my last girlfriend was in her 20s and couldn't keep up!!:thumbup:

Stay active

In addition to our Spydering my wife and I try to pack as much as we can into our lives.

I retired at age 68, got bored and bought a small company that we have now owned for eight years. Up until this year i was the president but my wife is now the president and I kicked myself upstairs to become chairman. We run it out of our home and it keeps us occupied.

I wrote my first book, published in 2012 and I am making a lot of notes in preparation for the next one.

We have owned horses for the past 30 years and we try to ride about once a week. We have 20 miles of wooded trails on the 450 acres where we board our horses so that never gets too boring.

We are blessed with lots of lakes nearby but our favorite place to kayak with our Hobies is Stone Mountain Park, about 20 minutes from our home. Our Hobie Kayaks are the kind with foot pedals, outriggers and sails and there always seems to be good wind around Stone Mountain.

We both like to shoot and about twice a month visit the range to pepper targets with rounds from our Ruger 22's; S & W 38's, Glock 40's and Sig Sauer 9 mm's.

I used to collect special interest cars but that is a (very) rich man's hobby and requires a lot of storage space. Now I collect 1/18 scale model cars and have a fairly extensive collection of interesting stuff.

My wife is a spinner and a weaver and is a member of the Peachtree Weaver's Guild in Atlanta.

At age 76 I can still manage to shoot my age on the golf course once in a while although my handicap is now up to 12.

Other stuff

Wife and I travel, I target shoot, fish for salmon and work on my model railroad. My other chores are garbage detail and mowing the lawn (about 3 acres).

What..!!

What else is there..?? :roflblack: ryde all year and before I die I will finish this house or it will finish me...
