• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Acknowledging Other Riders

I've been waving since the early '70s. We waved then to acknowledge another rider. I never heard of this "two wheels" stuff until the 2000s.

And I still wave (when it's safe) to acknowledge other riders. Some wave back, some don't, just like they have the last 40 plus years.

:riding:

I, like many here have always done the "two fingers down" to acknowledge the other riders. I also use the same salute to any and all law enforcement to acknowledge them as well........until last year.
Apparently a very grumpy sheriff thought for some reason that "wave" was me giving him the finger! He could have knocked me over with a feather when he asked me why I "flipped him off".
I still acknowledge the law enforcement out there when I'm on the bike, but it's with a salute now.
It's funny now, but I thought I was gonna get a free ride that day!

I waive the wave at all riders, if you choose to acknowledge great, if not no worries. Their call, some riders too cool for that ya know.
