There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. ACE Shift Point

Apologies as I'm sure this has been covered previously, just need the info fast--at what RPM do I shift the tranny on ACE (2015 RT SE6)

If you put the engine in ECO mode and watch for the upshift arrow in the digital display you will see that first shift point is about 1800, second about 1950, third 2100, fourth 2200 and fifth about 2350. Many folks, I included, find the smooth spot at around 3000 regardless of what gear you're in. For me the SE6 shifts smoother than deer guts on a door knob at 3K.

The first couple of shifts: I stab the paddle at 2,000 rpm...
The rest get grabbed at 2,500 rpm...

The point being made: you don't need to rev the 1330 up nearly as much as the 998s!

I've heard that a lot of folks shift these bikes at about 3,000 rpm... whatever makes you happy!

I've found 2,800-3,200 to be the sweet spot for shifting, depending on how aggressively I'm riding. Some people shift at 2,000 - 2,500, but that's too low IMO as it feels like the engine is lugging. Lugging an engine is never a good thing.

It all comes down to the sound and feel of the engine. With experience, you'll instintively know when to shift.

Pretty much what others say

to 2d around 2000 RPM...rest of gears 2300-2500 rpm.....for me I have come to learn after 38k miles where "Studly" 'likes' me to shift. Feel, sound is my best judge..Sure each Spyder has it's own sweet spot...but definitely will be around the numbers you have been reading on this post. When I went from the 998 to the 1330 I was concerned about "ruining" tranny. So asked Lamont, and he said this is the most forgiving transmission...trusting his opinion...I started playing with RPM's and the above numbers are where my :spyder2: responds best. No worries our 1330's and new transmissions are THE BEST...

3000 - 3500 RPM's for me. Most of the time, I just listen to the sound of the engine telling me when to shift.

Shift

I'm a Spyder newbie myself(2015 RT SM6 in Oct.). However, I have been shifting with my left foot since 1966. The ECO shift points felt a bit low to me also. 3000-3500 feels and sounds a whole lot better to me. I sincerely doubt that the 1300 Rotax will notice the additional rpms.
