• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Accessories & Good mechanics

This is my first post and I'm new to Spyderlovers. Just recently purchased a 2012 Spyder RT-S SM-5 and looking to install some accessories in the near future. However I'm not much on doing any work or maintenance on the RT myself. Dealers take you to the cleaners on pricing and labor costs for anything they do. I'm live outside the Lexington KY area and would like to find someone who would install accessories and do maintenance at a reasonable cost. I want to install a better seat with backrest, air wings, floorboards, trailer hitch etc. I'm willing to travel within a 50-75 mile radias to have such things done. Paying $ 250 for an oil change is totally out of the realm of fair pricing. Dealers are charging from $ 100 to 125 dollars an hour to work on them and I can't see paying the over pricing of accessories and it does pay to shop around. I would appreciate everyone's thoughts and idea's. I know there are manuals etc that would show how to do a lot of things, but I'm not much of one who enjoys working on them, but I do enjoy riding. So your positive imput will be appreciated.....Thanks, The Frankfort Flash
