• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

i lost my best friend and riding buddy, CHUCK was a great guy who really got me into riding and helped me out wrenching when i needed it. he was 62, a year younger than me and we talked and rode every day. this year i stayed home most of the summer because i couldn't handle the heat, and he rode every day that he could. so today when i went out it was 54 degrees and my type of riding weather, and i can't believe how much i miss my old grouch of a friend and riding buddy. i rushed him to the hospital 3 weeks ago and it turned out he had a brain aneurism, they opened his head and fixed that and installed a drain, but after all that he suffered 4 heart attacks and a few strokes and went on life support. i was at the hospital every day in Manhattan with him till his family took him off life support and he left us.

RIP my good buddy, i really miss you

I just want to extend my sympathy for your loss. It sounds like he lived life to the fullest degree.

Too bad John and i feel for your loss. Ride, remember him, rejoice that he lived and was your friend, and he will live on. We only truly die when we are no longer remembered.:thumbup:

My sympathy, cheer up bud!

Sad to learn of your sorrow filled loss. Never an easy time to be let down.

Think only of the best times and cherish those memories.

Hope you took plenty of great pics, as we often take our good times for granted.

Go for a long ride in his memory...

Chas

Don't mourn his life; celebrate it!
I was never fortunate enough to meet him, but I'm sure that He'd want to think about him on each and every ride...
That way; he's still with you, and out on the road!

Sorry to hear of your loss, thoughts and prayers to you and the family. He certainly had a great friend in you. Take a Ryde for him and yourself.
