• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A Warming Observation

I noticed my right foot/leg seemed to be warmer than the left. Wasn't sure what it was, maybe just me. Then I noticed that the radiator cooling fan exhaust comes out right in front of my leg, and it moves the air for sure! It's not uncomfortable at all, just noticeable.

Then I noticed that there was no cover over it like the left side that has the honeycombed shaped cover. I thought maybe it had fallen off, or wasn't on there when I bought it and didn't notice it. I called the dealer and he checked and said that the '13's did not have one there. I started looking at picture on the internet, and sho nuff, they don't!

Was that for increased air flow since they had an overheating issue at one time?

10 thru 13 had no grille or cover on the right side. you can get a blockoff shield from spyderpops but if u do then remove the plastic under the engine so the hot air can get out.

Agree, prior to 2014’s no cover . After the recall was done on my 2013, I installed the 2014 right grill and block off. Sealed the honeycomb grill and opened the bottom behind fan. No heat while using highway pegs. No issues, temp does not get above mid point. Miss it on cool days , 😂.

Did that very thing with my wife's 2012 RTL and the results are worth the effort. Temp gauge stays just about in the middle arc despite Texas too bloody hot weather.

Now that it is cooling off, I think I will make the modifications in the spring! Nothing like a nice warm right foot on a cool fall morning!

Still kind of miss the 11 RT footwarmers - especially this time of year

 On the highway even with the other air cooled two wheelers, it was easy to feel the wind direction opposite which side of the bike seemed warmest :)
