• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A Very Special Thank You to Firefly...

Alignment Specialist
A very special thank you goes out to Firefly for his help with my Givi trunk case bracket application.

I was uncomfortable with drilling into the sport rack for fear I'd really destroy it...Fire offered his assistance (asking for nothing in return) with the project and I obliged...afterall, if an expert Spyderlover offers help, I certainly can't say no!

Needless to say, Fire did an absolutely marvelous job with the project. He even encountered an issue which he turned into a total positive...his fix truly is better than the way the rack was configured...

I know most here are good folk and the passion we have for our Spyders is really a great thing...I am very grateful to many here, especially guys like Lamont, Evan, Fire, Scotty, and others who have all personally helped me and really go out of their way to help all of us.

My sharpest skill set unfortunately does not include working with the Spyder. I have dabbled here and there, but I have a very long way to go to even crack the lower echelon of Spyder mastery. I will keep working, but I do marvel at those who have ease with these machines...

In this case, Fire went above and beyond and he deserves a very special 'thank you' for his time and commitment to getting the job done right.

Fire...thank you for your help...you have 'gifts' waiting for you at Dark Horse...enjoy, you have more than earned your brew!

:congrats: on getting the job done, and kudos to Dan for helping you out with this project. Spyder Lovers helping each other makes the world a nicer place.

This is really awesome. I finally have a trunk big enough for my helmet...yeah, I guess I have a big head, but the BRP side givis are better for the less bulky goods...it'll be nice to just drop the helmet in...easier to use when the weather gets nicer and I can get out for a ride...

Great story:thumbup: Family takes care of family! Feel the love:D Way to roll Dan, and thanks Bone crusher for sharing!

Good Folks!!

No question in my mind that Spyder Ryders are good folks.. I was at a dealer for maintenance and repair some 70 miles away from home this week. I was to be there for six hours or more so Recon and his wife Carol came into town from 15 miles out to pick me up and take me to lunch. We had a great time together. I loved getting to know them better and appreciated them helping me pass the time.. I also had a potential breakdown (limp mode, malfunction lights on the way to the dealer).. Recon and Carol gave me their home phone, cell phone etc and said anytime I was anywhere close to them and had trouble just call and they would be there with the trailer to pick me up. Now I consider that remarkable, because I know that mean it.....
