• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A tad nervous

Ahh, the Information Age. Every little problem get plastered across the Internet as soon as it happens, making it look like the sky is falling. In reality, the problems are relatively few, and the successes are the vast majority. In the old days we would not have known (or none of us would have bought British bikes), so we would have been content. Now we get scared over every divot reported. Sorry, I am an optimist. I would sell my computer so I didn't have to read these things, before I would selll my Spyder.

Too bad computers are my job and main hobby or I would switch!:roflblack::roflblack:

Butnojoke this is a true statement "Every little problem get plastered across the Internet as soon as it happens, making it look like the sky is falling. Pretty much everyone interprets information their own way and makes a small issue sound like it is the biggest piece of :cus:, not only on :spyder2: but relatively anything.

On a forum like this you hear 100% of the problems multiple times. Problem threads have the longest legs and just keep coming back. Giving the impression that everyone is broke down most of the time.

But several hundred people got their Spyders running at least good enough to get to Spyderfest. Did anyone break down to/from or at Spyderfest? (not counting aftermarket stuff that caused issues not Spyder related)

If everyone posted every time they rode with no issues... This would be a pretty boaring place to visit.

It's like the Evening News. How many people would watch if they aired a realistic representation of things that went well with those that didn't? There would be so much good news people would stop watching!

So, what do you get? Almost all bad news. Gives you the impression that everything is bad. People get depressed and it becomes a self fulfilling prophesy.

I don't get nervous till I see a rod sticking out the side of my crank case. And since Lamont is over 2000 miles away and I know where he lives.... even that isn't a problem!

Can you spell P-A-R-T-S B-I-K-E! :ohyea:

Yeah Baby!

One of the main reasons for these types of Forums is to help each other out with our problems or issues. So the nature of the best is to see problems and issues. MOST get fixed right here on the site. thanks to past experiences AND seasoned pros ...like Lamonster
Btw :congrats: on the new purchase!

Making me feel better thanks guys. The full extension warranty was 1100. I use to ride about 35 years ago...LOL...took the alertriders course and now drooling at the day when spyder comes in. Thanks again everyone I do feel better about it.
