• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A STRANGE THING

It still would be a nice feature, although even some cars used to have a single turn indicator. One useful aspect of dual indicators in cars is the feature that shows burned out bulbs. The indicator light either flashes very fast or stays on solid, depending on the nature of the bulb failure and the system. Clues you in to take a look and tells you which side to look on. Of course using NMN LEDs would eliminate the need to know about such things. :D

:agree:Right-on as always ! Scotty

Mud flap LED's

Let me get this straight. Does the NMN mud flap LED kit work with the turn signal as well.
I thought it just came on with the fender running lights :dontknow:

If you have the NMN Fender Tips kit, which converts the front fender lights to also work as turn signals, the mudflap lights will work that way, too.

I thought either Magic Man had a kit or someone just extended the Mud Flap Light wires to connect to the turn signals so the Mud Flap Lights would blink even without the Tipz kit. :dontknow:

According to the shop manual for the Spyder the turn signals will automatically stop flashing after 30 seconds if the turn is too shallow to cancel them. I know this from reading teh shop manual when I accidentally filled by multi function switch casing with BB's form my handle bars.

Yeah that's true, but when your paying this much $$$ for a bike it would be nice to know which signal is blinking, don't you agree?
:lecturef_smilie:

No, Motza.

The indicator just tells you you're going somewhere.

(I always need that...)

Can be done if you have the triple play by running wire to the rear and tieing in with that. That's what I did.:firstplace:

Yesterday I installed a set of mirror extensions and did a short test drive to check things out. Today when riding I noticed that when I turn on my signal lights (either right or left) the green indicator arrows (on the console) seem to both light up no matter which signal light is on. The signal lights work fine but it is just the indicator arrows. What I am not sure of is maybe they have always done this:dontknow:I don't see how the mirror extensions would cause this in any way. Does anyone have any ideas?

This is a well-documented problem. Just head to your closest auto parts store and ask for some blinker fluid.

You mean a burned out turn signal bulb doesn't trigger the Limp Mode? Man, BRP missed one there! :D
