Ah Yes.....

The good old days. ..we could not wait for the latest catalog, sadly but a kid and only got to look at all the cool stuff. ..:2thumbs: :bowdown:'s for the memories

These are the forerunners of the modern kit homes. You can buy these today with everything you need to finish it yourself and their crews will come in and erect as much of it as you want or do any part you don't want to tackle. If you know what to look for you can still spot these Sears homes in older neighborhoods and rural areas. They were very sturdy and stylish and popular.

My son also have his house ordered and delivered to his property. It was not the sears price but $150k.

As a kid in rural Texas farmland, there were a number of neighboring farmers whose families bought sears houses in the 1930's. They were well designed, functional, and boy do they last.

back in the early 80's, my friends moved to florida. he took a job there at lowes, and there he sold pre-fab homes with them.
