• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A Report On MY 2013 Rt

I was thinking more like the GT. One concern is the pressure sensor reading, but then again, the v twin has a MAP sensor so, not sure how intertwined the ambient pressure and MAP are.

PK

Ok, I just learned something. Had no idea the Spyder had BOTH a MAP and BAP sensors. Never seen a EFI system that tried to use both. SD uses BAP to calculate air density along with temp. MA system uses the MAP to control fuel rail pressure. Guess this system could be doing exactly that, never looked into how the fuel pressure control works on this bike. Did not see a return style regulator so it must be PWM fuel pump control.

I have Magdave on ignore list, so I can't read his posts, but I sympathize with you.

I've been following your story, and I'm glad things are getting better for you.
Just for my own curiosity, do you have a full list of all the mods ? It's hard to follow them in the individual posts.

 I will have to remember that so I don't offer any answers to you. I am not so childish to use ignore but to each their own. :dontknow:

JC, is there enough harness from oem to reach a coupler on the stock intake prior to the throttle body. Would it be possible to fashion a simple slip joint from rubber hose and place the oem sensor to test.

PK

Sensor is up front next to the frunk, in front of the radiator. Air intake is all behind the suspension and battery, in the main body of the bike. Not even close on the length of wire that would be needed to reroute for a trial. Might be able to remove it from the tunnel and get it away from the radiator though. Will need to take the frunk apart and see where the stock harness would let me move it.

UPDATE TO REPORT

Wife & I rode 275 miles from CT to Long Island NY & back last Tuesday. Cool enough to not have heat issues, the RT ran well, shifted smoothly, but the gasoline smell ALL DAY, was not fun.:banghead::banghead: So, some problems seem to be better, but the gas smell is MUCH worse. The BRP rep is due to call me on Monday the 17th to get my report. Be interesting to find out what the next thing they try will be.

Dwight, I am thinking that maybe a match should be your next thing to try. :banghead::banghead::banghead:
