• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What has been one of the main problems arising on many of the RT Spyders?

Check out this picture, taken from a White Limited 2011 and you can see the fix, compliments of BRP

Did they fix the grommet issue ?:dontknow::popcorn::popcorn:
I guess that was way too easy
Sure is what it looks like to me. Now I need to investigate this and the part numbers more and do a retro-fit on mine. I have the Pre-production model without the hook or anything, only grommets holding my panels on.

ok help me out .. a little slow but what did they change and how hard to change that on the 2010 models like you said ...

looks like they made a metal bracket to hold the grommet on the Spyder... is that what they did? I assume they still have the hook on the panel.

the 2011 parts listing out yet online?

Yep, metal grommet holders. I am going to check out parts avail today and will post what I find.

Took my RT-S in today to have rear tire changed plus 15,000 mile oil change. Asked service manager about this. He was unaware. With that said though he did say he was going to investigage and see if this can be done on the 2010. His comment was that he best find an answer now because he would be having a 1000 inquiries about it.

I have to admit you took me by surprise with this one. I am ashamed to admit that I haven't yet removed a panel to look under the Tupperware of my 2011. I will be pleased to not have to go through and glue every darned grommet. Guess it's time to ask Miss RR if I can look under her skirt. :D

So far, only on LE. ;)

What issue does the grommets have? I did search for this but did not find anything.
They grommets will push thru when you are replacing the side covers, unless you glue them in place. It looks like this should stop that from happening. I have all of the stuff ordered to do the refit on mine and will post up results.
