• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A question suddenly occured to me on the highway last night.

The wife and I were out for a burn last night on the RTS to a small town for ice cream. It was a little chilly so I put my hand warmers on low. Then it occurred to me, the hand warmer switch is next to the emergency brake and front compartment switch. Soooo..... what happens if a rider that is all thumbs accidently activates the electric brake at 130 kmph while attempting to put the hand warmers on high? Is there and override to the electric e brake and front compartment at certain speeds? Anyone know the answer?

It will not engage the parking break if you are moving faster than 6 mph. I actually hit the switch by accident while moving and it did not engage.

The manual says this:

NOTE: The parking brake cannot be
activated when the vehicle is above
10 km/h (6MPH).

I don't even want to think about it. If you do you will need a new brake pads asap. and I hope that's all you need.:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

That is the most expensive sparklers (fireworks) you will pay for.:roflblack::roflblack:

Do it at night it glows a lot better:roflblack::roflblack:

Not to worry..!!

they must have had the same thought as you and added the speed sensor feature. Still not a good idea to get sloppy sensors can fail and you may slow down and come to a sceeching halt..!!:roflblack:

Good to know

Thanks...that makes me feel better...I kept that thought to myself instead of sharing it out loud with my wife.

Moving a switch

I haven't looked real close, but as I have the RT base version, is it possible to relocate the hand warmer switch to the far right away from the Parking brake in one of the empty slots? Anyone do this? Letting my wife drive a little the other evening, she inadvertently activated the hand warmer instead of the parking brake. Man those things work very well. Yeah, I know what are doing letting your wife drive your spyder. Hey Im afraid she might try to take it away from me.

Guess I'll just have to upgrade !!!
