• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A QUESTION ABOUT TRANSMITIONS

Sunshyn, you spoke of meeting up with folks... dont forget the gatherings at Cuba, MO (Spyderfest) and at Maggie Valley, NC (BRP event). Search the blogs for dates and hope to see you on the road someday! Welcome to the forum from Maine!:chat:

Would you be willing to refer to it as a "semi-automatic"? (I just prefer to call it an "SE 5". :D

Yes Bob, I actually stated in my post that many call it a semi-automatic and I am cool with that. I just like to make sure that people know the difference, as I originally told the dealer I did not want an SE 5 because I thought it was an automatic transmission. He told me I should test ryde it before making that judgement and I thank him for that. I truly love the SE 5 and wouldn't trade it for anything now.

No chops busted here, Spyderwolf. Actually, I recall someone mentioning that the Spyder does not have an automatic transmission in a post waaaaaay back. I spent a lot of time on here the first couple days after I joined this site. I am and will remain grateful for the straightforward advice and information about our treasured Spyders. I sit here in front of this pc in absolute awe looking at what people do to/with their Spyders. I just finished looking at all the lighting mods you have made. Amazing! Everytime I see someone's mod(s) I think to myself, "I want to do that to HOT Red." Keep on with the great postings, Y'all!

Thanks for the compliments, and I am more than happy to help with anything I can.

Meetings

Mainah.......... I'd love to come to some of the events taking place this year. Maybe I will have learned how to ride HOT Red by then, or at least get her out of first gear:2thumbs::yes:. Seriously, I have spent less than one hour riding since I purchased two weeks ago. Excuses, excuses, excuses. (deep sigh) I just gotta find time and it is tough to find time when you are retired:gaah::helpsmilie:.

If you are not up for that long of a ryde yet, you could always trailer it to these events. Then it would just be a bunch of short rydes with a whole lot of friends. :2thumbs:
