A question about the 2014 RT front fenders

I am looking (online) at a non-motorcycle shop that took in as a trade a (what they say) 2014 RT-S. While from the pictures I know it is a RT, but not convinced it is a RT-S. I looked at the pictures, and I see that the front fenders are the old style like my old 2012.

I know the 2016 and 2017 base models still have the old style front fenders, and the "S" and "Limited" have the new style. My question is it this way for the 2014?

I know what the different features are between the base and "S" model are. Yet, I would rather not make a 47 mile drive if I do not have to, and I doubt that the seller knows.

2014 BASE RT

Yes I have one and the fenders on mine are the old style........They do give an advantage for larger tires, because they don't have the intrusive inner plastic piece that will cause interference. I trimmed the edge ( face ) 1/4 " to facilitate tire re-moval , but if you don't mind loosening the fender brackets it's not necessary, because the tires will not touch.......and I have 185/55-15.............Mike :thumbup:

If the Spyder you are looking at has grey lower panels and grey handlebars it is s base model
