• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A present for my Son...coming home from Iraq!

Congrats to your son

Congrats to your son on the retirement front. I did the exact same thing....came back, dropped my paperwork and bought a Spyder. Enjoy!!!

Very nice Thanksgiving story any day of the year! Have some great times ahead and ride safely! Thank you both for your service.

Great!

Wow, awesome gift for your son! Welcome Home! Thank you to your son and your family for your service and sacrifice so we may live free! God Bless You!

Thanks for everything! If you guys buy your Spyders and take a few months at the expense of our tax dollars then at least we will know it was well spent, enjoy your time together!

thanks to both of you. did my time, pulled the plug; and have a lot of great memories and Friends.

now you two, get out there and ride them like you stole em ;)

almost done

I think all I have to add is some highway pegs(he has long legs)....a belt tensioner...and maybe get the seat cut down some....then he can add any farkles he wants...already have to Hindle and risers on it...sounds GREAT!...maybe some more lighting would be good too....didn't get a lot of sleep last night...thinking about him coming home....this will be a lot different from when I came home the first time....PGR, ALR, and a whole lot of people will be there...gonna turn the airport into a great big party...just wish his Mom could have been here to see her son come home...happy and sad day for me, him too...but believe you me, we will make the best of it.

What a great way to get reacquainted! Happy travels to both of you, and many thanks also to both of you for your service.:clap::clap:

HE'S HOME!..WELL AT LEAST ON AMERICAN SOIL

He just called from Dover AFB. He escorted a few fallen soldiers home this trip. Said he could delay coming home for a few days to make sure this soldiers made it to their home towns with respect and dignity. God I love my boy!...I am a blessed man!...sitting here crying like a big ol baby...beaming with pride...what did I do right to have such a great son>?...Got some news from him that I didn't take to well. Guess he isn't going to retire after all. He's going to stay til he reaches 30 yrs...but he will be home town for the first year then off to Japan for a few yrs...But I get it....looking out for his guys.....well at least he will be where I can go see him....thank you all for your thoughts and prayers....he is looking forward to our first trip together this spring....maybe we will stop n and visit with a bunch of you.. I know he really wants to meet Lamont for some reason....:)

View attachment 37430After having to spend almost a year in the sandbox...the boy is finally coming home!..I went out a bought him a new 2009, I think it's called an RS. The only thing I have done to it is add a larger windshield and Hindle exhaust. Rafifi2cu has been kind enough to give me some RT shocks...gonna be nice!...My son is 6'6"...285....a freakin mountain of a man. He's serving with my old outfit, the 101st...screaming eagles baby....He won't have to go back...he's going to retire this trip...I can't wait!...then it will be 2 of us drawing your tax dollars...:)....This spring, we are going to go get my new spyder for me so we can travel for a few months together, getting to know each other again....can't wait!....so if you see a couple old Army dogs, come say hi...just don't walk up from behind...might be a surprise...:)...thank you all who have helped make this possible. If anyone has anything they want to hang on the bike before he gets home,,,you are more than welcome.....

It would be an honor to meet you and your son. :doorag: My son Nathan comes home from Afghanistan at the end of January and all three boys will be home for the first time in over two years in February.
