• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sorry you had bad results. I did a recent trip and posted a thread "Digital Gas Gauge Statistics" just a couple days ago. My results were very different. At 194.9 miles each spyder took 5.3 gallons and 5.2 gallons. I had one bar left on my digital gauge and she had zero bars left.

I am starting to trust the digital gauge (gas bar) since I have had similar results since changing over from my analog gauges about a month ago. See my other thread--I don't want to hijack this one.

I have made several test trips leading up to my final "test" re the thread above. Gas filled the same each time. I recommend each person doing their own test in case of variance of gauges. The 2011 had slightly different results from my 2010. The 2011 gauge gas light went on quicker and her bars dissapear slightly before mine.

Well, once i hit 180 miles and reached the gas station i was shooting for, i said :cus:, let me try the next station since i still have a bar....I thought I was going to easily hit 200 mi. :lecturef_smilie:

I was only 10 miles from home but still having to call my daughter to bring gas :helpsmilie: is something i'll be hearing about for a long while. :roflblack: Of course shes taking picts and posting on FB before I was even done putting the gas in......ah...kids....:2thumbs:

Its now out of my system...165 per tank is just fine...:f_spider:

Y'all slay me

:lecturef_smilie:Must be something with my right wrist or Teds Red Sled:dontknow: but if we make 140 on a tank, we're lucky

Fuel bars on RT

This past week I had 1 bar, low light on and it took 5.4. Probably had .4 or .5 left. I don't let it fill up to the lip due to fumes/vapor and dripping - have canister out and the hose moved to the rear. Still leaks and smells.:banghead:

I agree with Teddy, I'm looking for gas at 120. Don't know how you guys are getting over 30MPG. I've tried pure gas, adding capfuls do additive, RPM driving, everything I've read on this forum. Guess I got a heavy rt hand.

Ditto.

At Interstate speeds, I'm getting low 20's while pulling the Rt-622 trailer. Have gotten as much as 36 while on a slow ride (45-ish), but rarely get anywhere near 30 on normal driving.

Wow, i wonder why such a big difference in milage :dontknow: Out of the 185 i did, 100 of it was on the NJTPK going from 65-78 mph. 40 of them were on some winding back roads and the balance was in everyday traffic driving...stop lights etc... i am also in the high RPM's shifting mode so this wasn't "babying" the spyder at all.

Before one of the TB updates, my gas light always came on at 120 mi. Now it doesnt come on until 160ish :dontknow:

I have an '11 RT SM and I'm getting around 34 to the gallon and I don't baby mine at all....but I don't drive to the max either.
We have some nice undulating sweepers around here and Boris doesn't see fifth on an average day.
I found out quite early that I had to use more right wrist in fifth to maintain the appropriate speed (50-55 in a 45 clear zone) whereas in fourth I barely move the throttle at all.
Oil consumption is very low too.

It's probably all that idling time while Teddy is whoooing the chicks :roflblack:
:doorag:Yeah, that does seem to happen allot :doorag:

Teddy, NO!!! Me on the other hand :( NO COMMENT :( Well, yeah, since I had back surgery, I gained about 15 pounds, but I still don't think thats the problem  (gotta luv denial:rolleyes:)

We've tried it all as well, and with shifting consistantly around 4000 we did improve a little, but not enough to keep doing it:rolleyes:

We'll see how this road-trip going to SITA & pulling the Moto-Mate Camper goes

I'm not sure myself, but I'm gonna call our dealer and see if he can get us in for the TB update before we leave for SITA, can't hurt to try :2thumbs:
