Like you I will also keep reading and learning about the Spyder. I do believe the bugs will be worked out before too long on the two items that most concern me. The power steering and the incidents of the fires on a few of them. I would not want to burn down my house. My wife would take a very dim view of that sort of thing.jblspyder: As my first post, I want to compliment you on your reasoned, thoughtful post. And, I want to compliment the other members here for their c civil, constructive responses. I'm in a similar situation, in that I'm gathering information to help me to decide whether to purchase. I don't see that those who are reporting problems are just venting; there is perhaps an undercurrent of frustration with BRP, but that runs alongside the waves of enjoyment owners get from their Spyders...when they're running as they should.
As for me, I'll keep reading and keep learning. Time will tell. Thanks, all!
I agree that people on this forum are largely very civil and respectful. Especially at a time when a few are having serious problems and want answers now which I think everyone can understand.
