• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

a nice day out on the boat

Yikes...!!

At least the guys riding the wave are having a good time..:yikes: as long as they keep heading straight into them :yikes:

That happened to me in a 17 ft Grumman canoe back in the 60's.

The waves "looked" that big, and the bow person kept getting lapfuls of water. I turned out of a cove into the main part of the lake--ooooooooooooops--the white caps were to big to turn the canoe around. Had to go all the way across the lake (about a mile) into the waves before I hit the "lee" shore. Then followed the shoreline back. First and last time I made that rookie mistake. :yikes:

I saw the ocean like that, while in the Coast Guard
on ocean station Bravo, in the North Atlantic.
it was scary, amazing, and beautiful.
Some of the waves were 50-60' high,
unbelievable.
