• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I believe the 2011 event is already scheduled for Cuba, Missouri...or did I miss out on something?:lecturef_smilie:

There are many events. But the source, theme and sponsor are different for each one. We're talking purely BRP homecoming here.

And really, you don't want each event to simply be a clone of the last.

It is great that BRP puts their flavor and purpose into an event for Spyder Owners. That's what makes it unique. I am not sure BRP could improve on intent or effort. This letter from the top simply addresses execution. And from what I've heard, all of BRP's hard work and good intentions were not channeled as well as they could have been on this one.

But that just gives everyone more incentive to make it work better next year. And I would say that is exactly what will happen.

Yves, thank you!

Having lived a motorcycle life for over 50 years I have some experience with clubs and interest groups. I belong to HOG (Harley Owners Group) and have been very active locally and have attended many national events over the years. HOG is dealer based in that Chapters have a sponsoring Dealer. I have belonged to three local chapters at one time. Hog has monthly meetings, club rides and many events each year. Christmas toy rides, Halloween Hayrides, Poker Runs, just a few of the many events generated. HOG has a Newsletter/Magazine. Most of HOG rides have a charity aspect wherein event profits go toward various charities. I know Can Am is just starting out in the community aspect but they would do well to get to know the HOG organization and it's setup.

HOG is non political-------charity based, fun based, safety based, but above all it's riders gathering to enrich the experience for all.

I look forward to watching BRP grow with this exciting product!
