• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A little warm today

Hot foot

I had a 2010 RT and had no heat issues at all. Just traded for a 2012 RSS and man it is hot on my right foot. I had a 2009 Kawasaki concours 14 and the heat issue from that bike was a big problem to a lot of people but never bothered me so I don't feel that I am very sensitive but the right foot heat on the RS makes it almost unbearable. I just rode 2 hours in 93 degree heat with sidi tall boots dragging jeans and thick socks and I literally have burns on my right foot and it is swollen and red from the heat. I love riding the RS but can't imagine anyone that engineered this machine actually rode it or they would have developed some change to make it bearable. I have had Harley's and other air cooled bikes and they were ice cubes compared to the RS. I don't intend to stop riding it but may have to stop often and stick my foot in a bucket or water or something to keep from 3rd degree burns. I wonder if some just are hotter than others.

SpyderPops heat management kit helps a lot on the RS.

HELP Temp check engine light

Met a friend for lunch today, parked bike and when I drove off, the check engine light came on. Temp on dashboard indicated 130 but the engine temp was normal four to five bars. Hadn't been riding far to meet him and bikes been running fine. 7800 miles so far, anybody have a clue for a 4 month old 2012 RT A&C? We got all the Spyderpops heat management accessories installed by Harvey himself on our way to Sedalia Mo and had no issues so far.

130

The highest I've seen on the Spyder is 114. I can tolerate that pretty well if I'm moving. The Spyder had no problems with it at all. I've never seen it go above 5 bars.
Digital ambient temp read 130 today then check engine light came on.
