• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have been keeping my brake foot forward more than normal lately. What is happening is when I'm downshifting (without brakeing). When I let the clutch out the brake pedel is coming up and hitting the bottom of my shoe. It feels like something is pushing the pedal up. What is this all about ??? :hun::dontknow:

Yup-- mine does the same.

Ok, now I know that it is not isolated. Now, what is causing it ???

You guys are destroying the clutches...:joke::roflblack:

Clutches???

We don't need no stinkin' CLUTCHES! :roflblack:
-------------------------------

I think it's 'feedback' from the ABS ---- or could be some 'judder' from minor warping ---- I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Reminds me I gotta order new brake pads.......

My guess would be torque twist in the engine/frame mounts. Downshifting causes temporary opposite torque in the mounts, particularly at higher speeds. JMG.

I guess that's why this past Sunday the fellow riding behind me initially said it appeared I was riding my brake. I was downshifting more since I was riding with others and the brake light kept coming on.

I couldn't understand why he was lagging so far behind me. After the first stop at the gas station, he made sure he was ahead of me. I also kept my right foot back after that.

:agree: We don't need clutches. :roflblack:

I know one time I was ryding down a gravel road that had a really steep grade. I had to ryde the brake on the way down and keep it in 1st gear. The ABS feedback was pushing against my foot to the point it felt like I may not be able to keep the pedal down for too much longer. I made it to the bottom, let off the brake, and everything went right back to normal.

Thanks guys for the info. So I guess this is not abnormal, and The Spyder is doing what it is designed to do.
It is just one more thing my small brain has to process. :roflblack:

Maybe it's just your brake pedal reminding you that it's there and wants to get in on all of the fun too! :shemademe_smilie::shocked:
