• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A little different windshield config

The PO included the OEM shield when I bought my :ani29: so I thought I'd give it a try. I ran the Laminar Lip on a couple 2-wheelers so I added that and kinda like the results. There is no chest wind and no 'burbling' that I got with the GIVI sport touring shield that was on. Went on a 100 mi. slab run yesterday at 65 - 75 mph and expected my neck to be sore from fighting the wind, but it wasn't at all....the wind hits the top of my helmet only....it's a pretty nice set-up.

Despite the fact that's it a bit wierd looking......:yikes:

There's still quite a bit of wind noise but much reduced pounding from the turbulence....still need ear plugs tho at those speeds, but a short ice cream run....probly could go with the naked ear! :yikes:

Rob....I'm pretty sure 8 or 10 boxes of ice cream would fit in the frunk....maybe mod up a little 12v refrig. unit, some insulation, box of spoons..... :ohyea:

If you refrigerate the frunk, you'll need to trade it in for an RT and turn the top trunk into a beer 'fridge to complement the front ice cream bar...

I, myself, don't imbibe....but I bet I'd have lots of friends who would help me lighten the load....:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Sometimes it's the helmet , In the winter, or when I'm on my two wheeler i use a full face modular helmet,
On the Trike i use a 3/4 with a shield, The 3/4 at 80 mph is quiet compared to the modular at just 60mph.!

I have a 3/4 Shoei from back in the day and it's louder than my full face....the Shoei doesn't have a shield but does have a tiny smoke sun visor....I wonder if that contributes to the noise? :dontknow:

Or maybe it's just my ears getting old and worn out....come to think of it my wife is saying I don't seem to hear her as well as I used to........gee honey, how could that possibly be??

I've got a HJC modular. Never used a 3/4 so I have nothing to compare my HJC to.

Danny, u could dress up like a clown and serve ice cream to kids...

Hmmm....that's got some promise Rob, wouldn't want to bring home a bunch of melted ice cream so I'd have to do something with it.....eating it springs to mind!! :2thumbs:

Just a little iffy on the clown suit! :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

How about if you just don't wear the big red nose???

I gonna say thats all he needs to complete the outfitt:roflblack:

Might have to put the clown shoes in the frunk tho..wouldnt be a safe ride with em on. Would they even fit in the frunk? Could get a trailer to put the shoes in, and carry more ice cream:2thumbs:

Ta be honest with ya, think I'll pass on the clown suit altogether....I really don't want the ghost of John Wayne Gacey coming after me......:yikes::yikes::yikes:

No good :cus: that he was!! :gaah:

But a trailer for more ice cream has some real promise....what's the towing capacity of a RS again?? 35 - 40 half gallons?? Yeah! :ohyea::ohyea::ohyea:

:agree:. That's why I ride with foam ear plugs or MP3 player and ear buds all the time. No more wind noise and is very quiet. Even with the pipes.

I wear ear plugs also, the yellow ribbed ones which work pretty well. Think I need to get familiar with some sort of music device tho, a little Pink Floyd in the background would make the ride so much nicer! :2thumbs:
