• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A first...help if you can

Last week I had a check engine dance across my screen----so I shut her down and checked all fluids.
Nutin honey all is normal.
So Ted's in Alto Ill had an open house and when I was talking with Pat about the problem with the check engine ---- if I shut her down and started again it would clear the dance across my dash.
They took it back into the closed shop and checked it out.
Faulty sending unit----ordered up a half dozen so they would have them in stock.
So needless to say they are high on my list of people to deal with.

while ridding today the CHECK ENGINE poped on but went back off after I turned it on / off ....any input why?:hun:

This is a very common glitch in the Spyder. I had this happen the first weekend I owned mine, and when it went in for its first service, the tech guy cleared the fault code. The same thing happened a week ago when I rode to Niagara Falls, and I didn't worry about it. After stopping and restarting, the check engine message disappeared. I know of at least one other Spyder owner who has had the same experience.

I had this problem 5 months ago. Lasted about a week. I looked in the owner's manual and it stated to turn ignition off. When I would restart the Spyder, it was gone. Have not had it since. Jerry :spyder:

Mine was doing the same thing. Every time I started the bike and drove it about 1/2 mile and the check engine light would come on. I got tired of stopping and turning the engine off then on. After a while I would just pull clutch do the on off and let go of the clutch. I had it checked out and was told it was the co2 sensor. Witch they had to order. So this week it goes in.:dontknow:

Mine did it once a few months after I got it. Shut it off, turned it on and no problems since (knock on wood). Took it to the dealer and he couldn't find anything.:dontknow:
