Dave,
Is yours a problem only in stop and go traffic?
I'm not as bothered by the heat as most; I've done a little bit of experimenting though during these discussions...
At highway speeds (45 mph and above), the airflow around the sides of the bike is pushed out beyond my feet and legs. I've got the adjustable lower air delfectors, and I normally keep them set in the center of the 3 available positions. The air is allowed to flow "Straight through"; as opposed to being pulled in toward me, or out and away...
Even when I drop my hand down and out into the airflow; I can feel that the heated air from the outlets, is being "mixed" a bit with air coming around the bike.
I'm just not getting the blasts of heat that I've seen others mention...
I wouldn't imagine that I was lucky enough to get the only bike that's got it right...
I even tried an experiment, and rode on a hot day (90 plus) in shorts. I could feel more heat; but it wasn't what I imagined that it'd be.
Sorry... I'm not going to insist that everybody is making this us; and I'm SURE not gonna say that I'm any tougher than any of the riders.
I just don't feel the problem here, and I'm not sure if I can fully understand these reports... :dontknow:
Sorry... I really do wish that I could say something else... nojoke
