Hey RT folks. I know some of you don't have an issue with this but for those who do.... If you are having problems with a fuel smell or high heat problems or both you should seriously considering going to the NHTSB web site and file a complaint. I also know that they are monitoring this site. Be sure to include your VIN in the complaint, as I was informed no VIN not really a complaint. The government is working on this! The more who file legitimate complaints the faster something is likely to happen. So let's just say a birdie told me:clap::shocked:

Thanks for the reminder. I filed my complaint this weekend and I really hope Can-Am makes good on fixing these issues. I rode on Sunday and even while moving at slow speeds the fuel smell I was getting was so bad I had to close up my helmet vents. :shocked:

This will include the boiling fuel. Few guys mention this issue and I hope they'll see your post and make a report as necessary.

my seat lifted up when i park.

I was called by a guy from DOT, today . . . I guess they really are investigating! He said he might want to get together in a couple weeks to measure temps and he asked me if my gasoline ever boils!

gas smell

Hey all, its been some time since ive posted but.... I graduated from 09 to a 13 rts and the comfee differance is huge but......ready for it THE GAS SMELL IS BAD..mostly when I park it and when I first start it up and my miles per gal are at 23 not good cant go any where without watching my gas. took her for 600 mile service and they told me I needed to keep my RPM,S at 4100-4500 most of the time this will improve my fuel mil...NOT....so thank you for this info much appreciated I will make that call.:yikes:
