• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

7Jurock windshield

I have ridden behind worse windshields than the stock RT shield, but I have ridden behind better ones also. The stock shield blocks the wind well, but could provide a calmer area behind it. I decided for giggles to try a 7Jurock shield in the stock 25 inch height and had the "lip" added for $20. I like it. In the down position it gives me and my wife a calmer air bubble and since I like to look over the shield I'm happy. All the way up and it is almost too much protection, be good for cold weather. Just for reference I am 6'1" with a 33 inseam and my wife is 5'2", not sure of her inseam, but both of her feet reach the ground so I guess it's long enough. We have the stock seat with an Airhawk R on mine and a sheepskin on hers. The flip at the top is a very gentle bend and distortion is not an issue. Shields like seats and handlebars are a personal choice and this is just my take on this shield. I'll keep it. 2015 RT

I've been looking for a shield with the recurve at the top. I knew they provide better protection but couldn't locate one for the RT. thanks.

Vent option

Do you know if they offer a shield with a ventnin it? I get too warm quite often and find I can't get enough air on me.

Do you know if they offer a shield with a ventnin it?......

The 7Jurock screens have the same 2 vents in the lower front as the 2013 on RT's have. But you can add your own Gold Wing style vent higher up if you feel the need for even more air. ;)

I just added a 7Jurock shield on my RT myself.
I got the 25" light grey tint. (tint could be a little darker)
I had a F4 Customs shield stock / tinted before this one. (Great tint)
I decided to give the 7Jurock a try for 2 reasons.
1) Price and 2) they offer the stock vents in their windshields.
F4 Customs makes a quality windshield, don't get me wrong (took a good size rock at highway speed with only a small chip and a little spidering) but F4 doesn't offer the stock vent (I'm not a fan of the Goldwing style vent) and having bought 3 F4's in the past never had 1 that fit properly. The 7Jurock fit like a glove! The recurve at the top is a nice touch as well!

Recurve Option

Just looked at the 7JuRock site and do not see an option for recurve (or lip). Looking at the photos from the OP, I see a subtle curve forward at the top of the windshield. Looking at the 7JuRock site photos, I see no such curve ... OEM shield is 25", I would want the same height or possibly 23" as I tend to ride looking through the shield most of the time but do like to put it all the way down in foggy conditions to look over and I can just barely do that with the current height. The recurve is what I am most interested in ... been looking for a long time for one that fits the RT.

Update_on.
Called 7JuRock and they returned my call within about 30 minutes. The "flip" or recurve is available on the RT windshield, just not on the website. So, I will be doing some measuring to see what size to get (either 23" or 25") and place my order by phone.

Glad you found this ... been looking for a couple of years for a windshield with a recurve. Thanks!
:Update_off.

Called and left a message ... thought the good folks here might know how to get the recurve ordered. Thanks .... Ann

What does a recurve accomplish

Windshield dummy here. I've been looking for a windshield that will extend the protection "envelop" to my passenger. Would the recurve option accomplish my goal???? If yes, would the 25" or 27" with a recurve work better??? I have gone from the OEM windshield(25") to the Value Accessories(Big Bike Parts) stock style & height but 3-4"wider windshield. Helped me some; but not my passenger. That eliminates the F4 stock-wide windshield. I see my only windshield options as:
1. F4 tall-wide
2. Cal-Sci XL(25" & 5" wider)
3. 7Jurock 25" or 27" with recurve
Hope someone can add some clarity on this issue for me. Thanks for any guidance that may come my way.
Mike
also considering adding Airwing Uppers.
