• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

6ooo mile valve inspection

I have yet to check the valves but I will be doing it pretty soon now that I have over 10K on it. I'll do a post on it when I do.

According to page 73 in the manual:

Valve check/adjustment:

6,000 First time.

Then every 12,000 miles OR 2 years - whichever is first.

It's NOT every 6,000.

Hey Lamonster...... coming from background in just small briggs motors, honda cars and the occasional diesel 6.0L Ford and 5.9L Cummins....

Is the valve adjustment / check procedure on the Rotax fairly simple for someone with a little mechanical knowledge?

Looks like it's going to be like my 109, shim under bucket. I think the valkyrie was the easiest motor to adjust the valves on. This is going to take a little more work. ::)
