• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

6k (well 7k almost) service was $478 #$%# but good news is...

valve adjustment, new spark plugs, oil change for $478.
exhaust gasket was bad they are going to replace them on brp. dealer placed order along with other little things i am missing.

now the good news
i got a 75 dollar HID for fog lights and ran it directly from my power bus and switched off of running light with a relay.
HId comes on when i turn the ignition on. i made a home-made harness in plastic loom. it bypasses all spyder sensors and i put a 10 amp fuse and it works great. i don't think i need to use a external switch since i run them all the time anyway.
i will get the hid for headlight too and run it same way.

this was my spyder dealer's service writer's idea. He said he is been doing that on bmws for a while. i am guessing bmw have sensitive electric system also. when i take spyder in for gasket replacement i will have to buy him lunch.:D

i suppose these are not top quality HID but with 2 year warranty on bulbs and waterproof ballast at this price i will take them

Did you get a valve adjustment or just valve clearance check? I'm betting it was just a "check" for that price. Plus, I don't think anyone yet has actually had to adjust any of them.

mechanic said valves were "tight" and supposedly gave me a "break" on labor. they charged me four but he said it should been five. wether its true or not i have no choice but to believe him do i?:dontknow:
i dont think he is "lets milk him for all we can" type, i hope not anyway
